Formed somewhere between Manchester (UK) and Israel, the PORTNOY BROTHERS is the combination of Israel Portnoy & Mendy Portnoy who’ve been making music together for as long as they can remember. They constitute two out of nine children in a very musical family. Their body of work spans a variety of sounds and genres all of which culminate in a sound uniquely their own. Their discography includes their 2016 album “Learn To Love” a Live EP "The Garden Sessions" (2019) and most recently their 2019-released album “No Complaints” (recorded in Nashville) which features 11 nostalgia-inducing original tracks which are all equally as impressive as they are soul-stirring. For the icing on the cake, they also included a classic live rendition of Knockin’ on heaven’s door featuring Alex Clare. The self-produced record which was entirely self-funded (through their ambitious and successful crowd-sourcing campaign) broke them into the BILLBOARD Heat-seeker charts. The brothers have performed internationally in an impressive array of venues and countries as wide ranging as the Watford Colloseum (London), RELIX, Rockwood Music Hall and Sofar (NYC) and The Palace Theatre (Manchester). Their music has even taken them as far as New Zealand. They have performed nationally with Israeli-sensation Ivri Lider and they were personally invited by world-music superstar Idan Raichel who contacted them and invited them to be his opening act for a few nights at the famed Shuni Ampitheatre.
